After High School, I want to pursue a career in the   showbiz industry because my trait, personality, and interests are fit in this thing. Also, this dream is my grandmother's dream for me. Maybe someone may look at this dream funny but I am serious about this. I want to act, dance, and make people laugh. I have no intention to earn a lot of money in this job, all I want is to influence and inspire other people. This is how I look like in that career.  These are the skills that I need to have to become successful in my career.     Being an actor requires a range of skills, including:        - Good stage, screen, or vocal presence        - The ability to enter into another character and engage with an audience        - The ability to memorize lines        - Good understanding of dramatic techniques        - Having the confidence, energy, and dedication to perform        - Creative insight. After reading the articles in the module, these are the things that I have realized.  - I

Week 7: Discussion

1. Why is the title called "Chameleon"? - A chameleon is a reptile that changes its body color to make them invisible. Sometimes it is their form of adaptation to the environment. The television commercial is entitled “Chameleon” because Cam (the main character) is always changing her lifestyle and personality based on her boyfriend. She believes that having the same interests, hobbies, and wants is the key to having a perfect relationship. As simple as it is, like a chameleon, they both change to adapt to their surroundings.  2. Which specific instances in the video showed that Cam lost herself? - For me, Cam lost herself from the beginning until the 3rd boyfriend she had. It is obvious that every time she changes her appearance, how she dresses, and her personality is clear evidence that she is not in her true form. I believe that c hanging a part of your personality is also changing and letting go of something you are because you are not in your own personality. Maybe Cam

Week 6: Reflection

1. Give at least 5 VALUES that Norman learned from his family (particulary from his mother) or experiences and explain each using your own words and understanding. - The five (5) values that he learned from his family and experiences are kindness, hard work, acceptance, contentment, and respect. When his mother told him that being dark-skinned doesn’t make a person dirty and that the true meaning of being clean is determined by what’s in a person’s heart, she taught him kindness. Norman learned the value of hard work when his mother taught him that there is much to be admired in people who overcame hardships than people who had life easy. He experienced insecurities due to poverty and his ethnicity, which made him change himself for him to fit in and be accepted by the people around him. His mother noticed this and reminded him that he does not need to change for people to accept him. The only thing he needs is to be contented with himself, accept himself, and love himself. She taught

Week 6: Discussion

Based on the module, why is it important to have a firmer and gentler relationship in the family?  - Family relationships are enduring and consequential for well-being across the life course. Having a firmer and gentler relationship can bring good communication, quality time, appreciation, treating one another with respect, and teamwork. It is key to have a strong and supportive family unit. Practicing these actions can help intensify emotional intimacy which in turn can foster feelings of empathy and compassion in kids. Family relationships can be rewarding through committed and purposeful investment. A healthy family is a productive relationship that is essential for our very survival and success.

Week 4: Reflection

  1. What is the song all about? Give support to your answers by citing specific lines/lyrics from the song. - The song "Ako Muna" by Yeng Constantino talks about self-love; its importance, benefits, and how to deal with it. The line "Pag-ibig Muna, para sa akin", means giving herself unconditional respect, appreciation, and evaluation of being great first. It doesn't mean that she prevents herself from caring about others; it simply means that it is the time to give herself the same kindness that she gives to others. It’s also a reminder that we deserve to meet all our personal needs while considering ourselves as worthy, valuable, and deserving of happiness. As the song ends with the line "Kailangan ko lang, Ako Muna", it shows that all she needs is herself to fix her mind, body, and soul. In all, it tackles the importance to love yourself, because of the simple truth that you cannot take care of others until you take care and love of yourself firs

Week 4: Activity

"My Reflection" Based on the topic, I have learned that mini-surveys may help me:  Based on the topic, I have learned that mini-surveys may help me in understanding how people derive meaning from their surroundings, and how their meaning influences their behavior. Collecting data from a predefined group of respondents to gain information and insights into various topics of interest.  It ensures a more accurate sample to gather targeted results in which to draw conclusions and make important decisions. Specifically, this mini-survey provides an in-depth understanding of the ways people come to understand, act and manage their day-to-day situations in particular settings.  I will use this mini-survey to know how social media affects teenagers in their definition of love. I will gather 90 students of Quezon Science High School, wherein 15 students per grade level. Through this mini-survey, I am able to know if social media provides a deep meaning and understanding of love to te

Week 4: Discussion

 1. What triggered the behavior of Eric?  - In a relationship, there is a certain part called the honeymoon stage where everything seems to be perfect. You are blinded by the concept of a perfect relationship and you are fascinated with the two of you staying together till the end of time. But everything has its end and in this case, that is when Eric let jealousy take over him. He became a manipulative boyfriend that makes the whole relationship toxic. It has been easy for Shirley to do what she has done.  2. "Lumiit yung mundo ko... parang unti-unting sumikip... nakulong ako sa kaming 2 lang..." What does this mean? Why did the girl say this?  - When the honeymoon stage of a relationship ended, the negative things that you didn't notice in the past seemed to pile up and made you uncomfortable. But Eric got things out of his hands and made Shirley’s life a living hell. The relationship was filled with toxic substances that made her think that her world diminished. She wa

Week 3: Written Work

  1. Why is COMMITMENT important in relationships? - Commitment and love are the two factors to have a long-lasting and healthy relationship. If one is absent, a relationship would not work, or it may work but for the short-term only. Commitment serves as the foundation of permanence and solidity between a couple. It is a decision to give yourself to someone else with the intention of staying together forever even though life happens, things get hard, you struggle, you fight, and you may want to give up and split up. There’s no attitude that the relationship is going to end “when the fun stops.” Emotional closeness, love, trust, and mutual support are built and improved in a committed relationship. After all, if one wants a relationship that can withstand the ups and downs, it needs commitment. As simple as it is, commitment is the glue in the relationship. 2. What is "CLOSURE" in a relationship? Why is it important? - I remember my close friend who was engaged in a rel

Week 3: Reflection

  1. What is the song all about? What are the main parts/messages of the song that give the story? Explain and give supporting statements found in the lyrics/message. - Lyrically, the song talks about the end of Adele's relationship with her long-time lover. With the first sentence of the lyrics “I heard that you're settled down. That you found a girl and you're married now ”, this tells about the woman left by her ex-boyfriend who is now getting married. She has to see him for herself, to finally convince herself that he ain't coming back to her. And she realizes at last that she can't go on hanging onto that hope. That she has to make herself move on, but not in bitterness. Then, the line "Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you", tells how Adele still cares for her ex-boyfriend and she wishes him all the best, knowing that what he's settled for is something different from what they had. This song wants to tell us that every relationship h

I realized that I belong to different groups and organizations, whether it is in the community or school. The church and youth organizations I've joined when I was young helped me develop different skills, specifically my social skills. On the other hand, ATV served as the organization that helped me express my ideas better. I improved and broadened the skills and knowledge I have regarding various things in life. This made me realize the importance of organizations and how it can impact my student experience and future career in a positive way.  What do you think are t

Week 3: Discussion

Based on the discussions about relationships, if you were the guy (best friend) in the video, do you think it is worth it to stay in the relationship? I will stay by her side until the end, not because I know it is worth staying, but because I love her. For me, it is not a valid and acceptable reason to leave my best friend just because I am not the one she always chooses. The friendship, memories, and connection we have formed with each other are more important than everything else. Maybe someday, as her best friend, I would be honest in expressing my true feelings to her, that at some point in my life I imagined her as my romantic partner. So what is the sense of our long friendship if we are not honest and comfortable sharing our feelings? And then either thing stays the same, or they change for the better.

Week 2: Disccusion

How do you show your attraction, love, and commitment to your loved one? Enumerate each and explain. Doing any unselfish act of kindness and sacrificing my desires to fulfill my loved one's needs is one of my ways to express my love for them. I show interest and respect for their thoughts, views, and values. I speak positively and praise them by having quality conversations.  I show my commitment by offering some help and even go to my extent to make them comfortable. It may sound cringe but for me, the easiest way that I use to show my affection, love, and commitment is by telling the person these simple words – “I love you.” No matter what language I use, these golden words can convey my thoughts and feelings of love.

Week 1: Discussion

  1. What are acceptable ways of public display of affection? What should or should not be done in public?  - It is perfectly normal to show off your partner and showcase your exclusivity but for the sake of the public’s sanity, some displays of affection should be left behind closed doors. Some acceptable ways of showing affection are by smack kiss on cheeks, hugs, giving compliments, and comforts. However, long kisses in front of the audience, touching the private area, and shouting loud to express love to your special someone is very unacceptable. Showing intimacy and affection to your partner has the right place to be done. If you are not sure whether or not an action is okay in any social setting, you should probably hold off until you are in a more private situation.   2. If you are in that situation how would you react?  - This public display of affection might feel good for the people in the relationship but may create an awkward situation for most people who get caught
